L’intervento è situato sugli argini del Tevere, opera di ingegneria del 1875. Questi mastodontici muraglioni rappresentano la spina dorsale del centro di Roma e godono di quell’aura “eterna” che caratterizza le grandi opere antiche romane.
Questa struttura, questa forza e soprattutto questa immutabilità ci hanno fatto pensare a un intervento in contrapposizione allo spirito del luogo. I diciotto pannelli diventano così uno storyboard dell’effimero, specchio del nostro modo di essere contemporaneo. Attraverso l’erosione di un elemento architettonico, si vuole far comparire la luce sotto di esso, dar vita a un nuovo elemento fatto di luce, scaturito dall’assenza del soggetto.

The project is situated on the banks of the Tiber, a civil engineering feat dating from 1875. These colossal walls form the backbone of central Rome and possess that ‘eternal’ aura characteristic of great ancient Roman structures.
This structure, this strength and, above all, this immutability led us to conceive of an installation that contrasts with the spirit of the place. The eighteen panels thus become a storyboard of the ephemeral, a mirror of our contemporary way of being. Through the erosion of an architectural element, the aim is to reveal the light beneath it, giving rise to a new element made of light, born of the absence of the subject.
